Spring is near and we all get ready for the same thing, SPRING CLEANING! We get behind those book shelves, under the coach, and most of all your closet. We devote weekends and even weeks to get the house clean and organized for the upcoming warm months. The time we can have people over cook out and just relax. Yet during the cold months when your in the house doing nothing our dirt and filth just build up. And my question is why do we wait until things get so bad to clean and change. Or we wait until we know someone is coming over. Why don't we ever take the time to clean and change things around once we see something is wrong. From there I could conclude that if we are like this in the natural its the same in the spiritual.
"From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."" (Matthew 4:17 NIV)
Jesus never said this time next week or every year on this day change yourself. When he said Repent he meant NOW. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:34 NIV)
We can't put off things we need to do in our live until the last minute. Just like New Years Resolutions no special day should be devoted to change, but we should change and die to self each day.
Think about each day you live as the last day you have to prove you love God. Meaning don't go lock your self in a room all day and pray. But wake up with the mind set your going to live that day as representation of Christ. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."(Romans 12:2 KJV)
When you woke up this morning did you think about how God will use you today or what you wanted to do today?
Have a blessed day,
